Only premium education plans have access the lesson start date and quiz features. Please contact us if you're an existing customer on a smaller plan and would like the feature.

By default, students will see all lessons within a course, assigned to them in a classroom. However, it is possible to adjust the date that students view a particular lesson.

How to Add a Lesson Start Date

Step 1: Choosing The Lesson

  1. From the curriculum page, select the course that contains the lessons you'd like to modify.

  2. Click on the lesson you'd like to modify to open the lesson panel on the right side of the screen.

  3. Select the pencil icon in the upper right corner to modify lessons.

Step 2: Add the start date

Find the start date button just below the text box in the lesson builder window. Set a date and save your changes.

Step 3: Check the Start Date is Accurate

When you select a lesson back on the curriculum page, you will be able to see the lesson start date.

Do Not Use Start Dates if You're Using an LMS

If you are using EditMentor with a learning management system (LMS), then view and due dates should be set within the LMS and not within EditMentor. Please contact support if you need help connecting your EditMentor instance with your school's LMS.
